  • Joining our team is easy! Simply fill out and submit the application form. You can download it from this page or grab a copy when you visit us during operating hours.

    Once your application is in, a member of the GMAM Board will review it. If accepted, you’ll attend an onboarding session. This is a great chance to get a full picture of volunteer life, understand the responsibilities, and explore different roles to see what excites you most.

    Please note: Volunteers interested in giving tours or working with the Flight Ed team are required to complete an RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check

  • All new volunteers receive a comprehensive orientation to the museum and its procedures. You will be provided with on-the-job training specific to your role, whether it's learning the POS system for the gift shop or understanding the proper techniques for aircraft preservation from our experienced team. Support staff are always available during your shift.

  • If you have a question, concern, or issue with the application form, feel free to call, email or come visit us during our operating hours and we will be more than happy to help you!

  • Commitment is flexible and varies by role. Most volunteers are asked to commit to one or two days a week throughout the year. There are also additional opportunities for special events or long-term projects.

  • No, a specific background is not required. While a passion for aviation or military history is a plus, the museum provides full training. We need volunteers for diverse roles like greeting guests, archiving records, restoring aircraft, and working in the gift shop. Your enthusiasm and reliability are what matter most!

  • Your expertise and unique capabilities are welcome here. We believe there’s a place for everyone on our team.
