Memorial Garden

To commemorate those who served in our units and worked at Greenwood, a Memorial Garden is located south of the Museum building. Memorials from 404,405,413,415 Squadrons and the RCMP WWII Aviation Memorial are displayed within the Garden. Memorials from 404 Squadron, 413 Squadron and the RCMP were consecrated June 4, 1999 during a ceremony attended by the Governor General of Canada his excellency, the right honourable Romeo LeBlanc. Besides these Memorials, engraved granite stones have been placed around the sidewalk to commemorate individual service.

The Garden was constructed through donated material, donated funds and 14 Wing support. Interlocked brick walkways wind through shrubs and trees and around a pond with a fountain. There are three flag poles, and grassy areas with automatic sprinkling. The entire area is nightscaped.
