On 28 October 2003, the Anson restoration
project was officially started with Colonel Morey and members of the Wing Museum
Board gathering with project leader, Colin Ainsworth and his team for a group
photo beside the skeleton of the aircraft. It is expected to take 4 years
to complete the project in plenty of time for the 100th Anniversary
of flight in Canada.

In celebrating the start of the project
Captain Rob Arsenault, a well known aviation artist, donated a painting of the
Anson to the Museum which was accepted by Colonel Morey. The Anson
depicted in the painting is the same one being restored by Colin Ainsworth and
his team.

In the Museum there is a large scale model of
the Anson, so all the visitors will be able to see what the aircraft will look
like once the restoration is completed.
