All three aircraft (Lancaster, Neptune and Argus) have been moved from their old cement pads, behind the Base Gymnasium. The Lancaster and Neptune aircraft have been refurbished, complete with new paint job. They have been moved to the Air Park, located next to the New Museum.

The Argus aircraft has been dismantled inside 11 Hangar, and has been moved on a flatbed truck to its location in the Air Park where it was re-assembled. It now needs a new paint job, which is scheduled for 2001.The Argus is now sitting proudly on its cement pads and prominently displayed at the entrance to the Museum's parking lot. It's hard to miss!

Here are the photos of the Lancaster being towed off its original display location.
In February 2000, the Greenwood Lancaster Mk X, KB839, was removed from its cement pads behind the base gymnasium, where it was displayed for many years. It was towed to the wash hangar for a good scrub and then to the 434 Squadron hangar, where it was stripped, cleaned and re-painted.
