The flying boat Catalina and the amphibious
Canso began RCAF service in June 1941. The type scored several U-boat kills in RCAF
service. The most famous is that of F/L David Ernest Hornell. Built in Canada, either by
Boeing Aircraft of Canada or Canada Vickers Ltd |

replaced by the Grumman CSR-110 Albatross |
